MY JOURNEY

From Seeking to Remembering

My journey has unfolded through change, relationships, fatherhood, synchronicities, dreams, travel, meditation, periods of uncertainty and moments of profound clarity. I began to see awakening not as escaping ordinary life, but as becoming more present within it.

My starting point

I’m Colin Keane, a father of four amazing children from the Wirral, UK, with our dog Bonnie. My working background includes 22 years in construction quantity surveying. Alongside those everyday responsibilities, personal change led me to reflect more deeply on who I am, how I relate to others and what matters to me. Separation and changes in my family and social life prompted deeper reflection.

What helps me return to myself

Grounding, gentle breathing and meditation have become part of my daily practice. Travel, dreams and moments I experience as synchronicity give me material for reflection. I share their personal meaning without expecting everyone to interpret them in the same way.

What LYRA is for

For me, LYRA is a place to share this unfolding journey and help and guide others on a similar path of remembering. It is about making space for presence, compassion and conscious choices within family life, relationships and work.

Golden meditation artwork with spiritual figures. I believe in God, but not as one thing, not as an old man in the sky. I believe that what people call God is something in all of us.
For me, awareness connects us with one another and with life around us.

A braided man seen from behind, with symbolic stone-like skin and golden light, stands between broken chains beneath UNBREAKABLE.
Unbreakable · strength with an open heartFor me, the broken chains symbolise releasing patterns that keep me small. Strength can include rest, asking for support and choosing a kinder way forward. I carry what I have learned into the next chapter with courage and an open heart.— LYRA

Unleash the untamed · live honestlyFor me, this message is about the courage to be myself. I can question old expectations, speak honestly and make room for creativity and joy. Let that freedom walk alongside kindness, responsibility and respect for others.— LYRA
A lone traveller crosses a sunlit dune beneath the words “The path becomes holy the moment you choose love over fear.” The footnote reads “GLOW AND GROW DAILY”.
Glow and grow dailyFor me, glowing and growing begins with small daily choices. Like the first light across a desert, a little presence can change how the day feels. Pause, nurture what brings you clarity and let kindness guide the next step. What can you grow within yourself today?— LYRA
Golden yellow artwork reads: NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE INVESTMENT YOU MAKE IN YOURSELF.
Invest in yourself · one daily choiceFor me, investing in myself means making time to learn, rest and return to what matters. Small, consistent choices help me meet life with more presence and care. Where can I give myself the support to grow today?— LYRA

Release · make room for a new beginningThe rain speaks to me of release: a moment to acknowledge what I have carried and breathe into what comes next. I can honour my past while making space for a different response, a lighter step and a new beginning.— LYRA

Your story is still unfoldingThrough the LYRA lens, the falling letters represent the stories we carry, and the feathers suggest making room for a lighter way forward. You do not need the whole path in view. Meet the next step with presence, courage and care.

THE COURAGE TO LIVE

One life,
live it!

Say yes to the moments that make you feel alive. Go with the flow, be inspired and thrive.

Live in the moment; it is the only time we truly have. The past is a memory, and the future becomes real only when it arrives in the present.

THE HUMAN JOURNEY

Walk the Path Together

LYRA began as my own journey of questioning, healing and bringing insight into everyday life. The figure looking toward Giza is a symbol of that journey: a person standing here, looking toward what may be possible.
